Maori TV to screen series about STEVEN ADAMS

Maori TV is soon to screen a series called Holding Court, about Steven Adams and his time spent back in New Zealand in the NBA off season.

In the short time between his Oaklahoma City Thunder training camps and seasons of eighty plus games, Adams assembled a cast of professionals, including current and former coaches, to host basketball camps for around 1200 aspiring players across New Zealand.

Adams also partnered with Basketball New Zealand for the Steven Adams High School Invitational games which featured a large number of Aon New Zealand representative age-group players. A number of these players will feature regularly in this series including Anzac Rissetto, Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones, Mitchell Dance, Te Araroa Sopoaga, Sam Mennenga, Tayla Dalton, Sharne Pupuke-Robati, Shalom Broughton, Kruz Perrott-Hunt, Grace Hunter, Ezrah Vaigafa and Marvin Williams-Dunn.

Holding Court follows Adams in his continuing quest to open doors for others. The big man with the big heart wants more local teens to receive US basketball scholarships. During filming Adams generously spent time with a number of the teens featured who have secured or are working towards international scholarships.

Holding Court premieres Wednesday, April 17, 8.30pm
