The final day of the P-Town Preseason concluded with the home side Wellington Saints finishing the weekend unbeaten.
After winning both their fixtures yesterday by only single digit margins, the Saints took advantage of a understrength IMS Payroll Hawks, final score 97-56. It was an even balanced score sheet for the defending champs with five players reaching double digits.
The James Blond Super City Rangers cruised through yesterday with two easy wins. This morning it was a different story facing the Zerofees Sharks, who had a field day led by Australian Todd Blanchfield (36 points), routing the Rangers 123-98.
Veteran shooting guard Hayden Allen top scored with 23 points for Waitakere.
Augusta Airs split their two games today, defeating the Breakers Manawatu Jets 92-80, and losing to the Mike Pero Nelson Giants 87-80.
The Airs new forward Aaron Fuller showed his full array of skills scoring 31 over the Jets and 25 against Nelson.
Former Giant Brook Ruscoe top scored for the Jets with 28 and new import Dion Harris added 21.
Nelson import McKenzie Moore put up 23 against the Airs.
