Paula Wilkinson comes from the Canterbury Basketball Association where she has been involved in the game for over 50 years.
She has been involved as a player, coach, referee and administrator and is still active across all 4. She started two basketball clubs from scratch. One in her local area in Diamond Harbour and one based at a council venue in Christchurch, Pioneer Club. Pioneer are now an incorporated society, they have an active committee, they run primary school competitions and enter 17 teams into CBA winter club competitions. Pioneer also facilitate coach and referee development.
Paula has influenced thousands of school kids in Christchurch including Sally and Gina Farmer, Ethan Rustbach, Kennedy Kereama, Matt Bathurst and Marty Davidson to name a few.
