Another double-double from Max Darling has led the Junior Tall Blacks to an 84-71 win over Senegal at the U19 World Cup in Greece.
The Kiwis will now playoff for 13th spot at the tournament against the Philippines tomorrow.
Darling combined 14 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks to lead the way for the Junior Tall Blacks in their second win over Senegal this tournament.
They had edged past them 66-64 in pool play, but with five players reaching double figure points the margin was much more comfortable this time round.
Flynn Cameron top scored for New Zealand with 19 points, while James Moors, Oscar Oswald and Max de Geest also reached double figures.
Kruz Perrot-Hunt had a strong line as well, putting up nine points and seven assists.
The result leaves the Junior Tall Blacks with one more match at the tournament, where they’ll hope to finish in 13th overall.
