Made his senior international debut against Japan in 2016. Scored 12 points against Turkey at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China.

Was a member of the bronze medal winning team at the 2018 Commonwealth Games averaging 8.4ppg and 5.8rpg.

After graduating from Nelson College Delany had a short stint at Southwest Baptist University, Missouri. It was in 2013 that Delany began to make his mark in senior basketball debuting for Nelson Giants in the New Zealand National Basketball League as a 17 year old whilst still in his last year at Nelson College and went on to make 90 appearances for the club.

Played for the Dallas Mavericks in the 2019 NBA Summer League after a short stint in Serbia playing for FMP Beograd.

Debuted for the NZ Breakers in 2015 and has since made 137 appearances for the club. Enjoyed a stellar 2021 season averaging 16.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game – named to the All-NBL Second Team.
