World class scorer Jillian Harmon helped the Tall Ferns to its first ever win over eventual Olympic Silver medalists Spain in the 2016 campaign for Rio qualification. The power forward was the MVP of that campaign, particularly for two stand-out performances against France and Cuba when she scored over 20 points in each game. In 2016 she was a member of Le Mura Lucca in the Italian Serie A competition, one of the premier leagues in Europe. That year she averaged 18.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per game as Lucca finished runner-up in the Italian Championship.
