The 3×3.EXE Premier League is heating up with just one week of group stage play remaining before the four grand finalists are determined.
Rams.EXE were the standout team in the South Island Conference, winning three games from three and setting themselves up nicely for a potential top two spot in the conference.
UC Gold.EXE and UC Maroon.EXE, both of the University of Canterbury entrants, collected two wins from their three games of play and are also in the running for a first place finish in Round 3.
Gators.EXE grabbed just one win, but their first place finish in Round 1 and second place finish in Round 2 ensures they’re still in the final four conversation.
The top two spots in the South Island Conference are anyone’s for the taking, making for a thrilling night of games on August 1 when play resumes in Christchurch.
Dimension.EXE were the standouts in the North Island Conference, bagging three wins to start Round 3 including a win over Round 2 victors Scam.EXE. The aforementioned Scam.EXE collected two wins on the night, along with Coasties.EXE.
It’s shaping up to be a three-horse race for the top two spots in the North Island Conference, but the exciting nature of 3×3 basketball means anything can happen. They’ll resume play on July 31 at the Swish Factory in Auckland.
