The big news to begin the week is that Will Heather and Dallas Baptist University Patriots were one of the 48 teams announced on the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Selection Show on Sunday evening in the States.
The former Rosmini College centre, in his sophomore season at Dallas Baptist, will be the sole Kiwi playing at the Division II Tournament. Heather has averaged 9.8 points per game starting all 20 games for the Patriots this season.
DBU (16-4) are drawn to meet Southern Arkansas (15-5) in the South Central Region quarter-finals on March 13.
