2degrees Girls Got Game

What is 2degrees Girls Got Game?

2degrees Girls Got Game (GGG) is more than just a programme, it’s a movement to belong to. It creates space for women and girls in basketball across Aotearoa, creating a sense of connection and showing everyone that basketball is a sport for them.

No matter who you are, where you live, or how you play, 2degrees Girls Got Game provides opportunities to build confidence, belonging and enjoyment in and through basketball.

What does the programme provide?

  • A FUN and POSITIVE experience
  • A SUPPORTIVE and SAFE-TO-FAIL environment

The national 2degrees Girls Got Game delivery models and programmes give primary – secondary girls practical opportunities to participate, build confidence and find enjoyment within the game. These programmes are all about breaking down barriers and providing girls with great experiences.

Through research, we know that girls need more than a one-off opportunity to sample basketball to feel comfortable to come back and explore what the game has to offer, so the 2 degrees GGG programme is designed around providing consistency and building connections with participants.
