Taia played all five games at the 2021 Asia Cup, making a three with her first shot in international basketball against Korea.

At high school won three Australian National School Championships at John Paul College – two with Kalani Purcell.

Following high school Taia attended Odessa Community College before embarking on a three-year NCAA Division I career at Indiana State University.

On return to Australia she played WNBL for Canberra Capitals and Adelaide Lightning.

In 2021 won the inaugural NBL1 North championship with Logan Thunder playing alongside Chevannah Paalvast.

Has signed for Wetterbygden Sparks (Sweden) for the 2021-22 European season.
