The Sal’s NBL have this morning released tickets for its five-game ‘Final 6’ series, to be held at Auckland’s Eventfinda Stadium from 10-13 August.
The Final 6 will see the top six teams in the Sal’s NBL competition battling it out for the NBL championship trophy over four exciting days, culminating in a Grand Final on 13 August. General Manager Leagues, Huw Beynon, says that the positioning for a top six finish is expected to go ‘down to the wire’ over the next fortnight.
“This has been one of the most exciting playoff races in recent memory; although the Nelson Giants, Auckland Tuatara and Taranaki Airs have all locked up spots in the top six, there are still five other teams battling hard for those remaining four spots,” says Beynon.
“Defending champs Wellington Saints have moved into fourth place for the first time this season with the Otago Nuggets and Hawkes Bay Hawks below them; meanwhile the Franklin Bulls and Canterbury Rams sit just outside the top six with only two rounds remaining – so it’s still anyone’s guess who’s going to be in these playoffs come 10 August.
“It’s exciting for the fans and we have no doubt that the Final 6 series is going to be epic, can’t miss basketball.”
