The fifth stop of the Youthtown 3×3 Quest Tour saw 41 teams hit the court in Dunedin on Sunday.
In the Open Mens category, it was HP NZ Select 1 that claimed the spoils with a 18-10 victory over Capalot in the final. Both teams entered the final sporting an undefeated record until HP NZ Select stood alone. They’ll now get a chance to play at the 3×3 Quest Tour final in March.
The Open Womens was claimed by Hotshotz, who went undefeated in their seven games of action. Their wealth of Tall Ferns experience proving too much for the rest of the competition.
The Avengers fought their way to a 12-10 victory over Slaves in the U19 Male category final. Despite only having four teams in the category, the games were incredibly hard fought and often came down to the final shot.
Undefeated stayed true to their name in the U17 Male category, winning all their games on the day enroute to a 15-9 victory in the final.
The U17 Female category saw the Hawks reign over the rest with a 14-12 win against Beach Babes in the final. They turned in an undefeated record to boot.
In the U15 Male category, D-Ballerz got past Kingsmen 13-9 in the final. The lone blemish on D-Ballerz record came at the hands of Air Ballers, who beat them earlier in pool play.
The Youthtown 3×3 Quest Tour continues next weekend in Auckland on February 26. Teams can register now at play.fiba3x3.com.
