Terms and Conditions – Trans-Tasman Throwdown Competition (March 2025)
- Eligibility
1.1. The competition is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over, with the exception of employees of Basketball New Zealand (BBNZ) and their family, or anyone otherwise connected with the organisation.
1.2. Entrants must have purchased a ticket to the Trans-Tasman Throwdown event between 1 March 2025 and 31 March 2025 to be eligible for entry.
1.3. The prize is only valid for the Trans-Tasman Throwdown event held in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton), New Zealand. Entrants from outside the event region must arrange their own travel and accommodation at their own expense.
- How to Enter
2.1. The giveaway opens on Friday, 1 March 2025, and closes at 11:59pm on Sunday, 31 March 2025.
2.2. To enter, the Entrant must purchase a ticket to the Trans-Tasman Throwdown event during the promotional period.
2.3. Each ticket purchase automatically counts as one entry. Multiple ticket purchases will result in multiple entries.
2.4. Entries will only be received via the official ticketing platform on Ticketek for the Trans-Tasman Throwdown event. (Trans-Tasman Throwdown tickets | Globox Arena | Ticketek New Zealand)
- Prizes
3.1. There is one prize package for the winner and three companions.
3.2. The prize package includes:
- A Merch Pack
- A player meet and greet with selected Tall Ferns and Tall Blacks players
- A BK All You Can Eat voucher
3.3. The winner must nominate their Burger King store of choice at least 24 hours prior to redemption. Food must be consumed in the chosen restaurant and cannot be taken out.
3.4. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.
- Winner Selection and Notification
4.1. Winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries by a member of staff appointed by BBNZ.
4.2. Winners will be notified by email within 7 days of the competition closing date.
4.3. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 7 days of notification, BBNZ reserves the right to select another winner.
- General
5.1. In the event of a catastrophe, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of BBNZ’s control, BBNZ reserves the right to cancel or amend the giveaway and these terms and conditions without notice. Any changes to the giveaway will be notified to Entrants as soon as possible by BBNZ.
5.2. BBNZ is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this giveaway.
5.3. The giveaway and these terms and conditions will be governed by New Zealand law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
5.4. By entering this giveaway, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

6.1. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current New Zealand data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
6.2. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the Privacy Policy found at nz.basketball.
- Publicity
7.1. By entering the giveaway, successful entrants grant BBNZ permission to use their name, photographs and videos for promotional purposes related to the giveaway.
7.2. BBNZ may contact winners to arrange photography or interviews related to the prize.
