The 3X3.EXE Premier League is returning to New Zealand courts in 2021 after a year-long hiatus.
The three-a-side competition was cancelled last year as a result of the COVID pandemic, but is scheduled to run between 22 May and 14 August.
As per previous years, the Swish Factory will host all the action in the North Island, while for those competing in the South Island they’ll be back playing at Middleton Grange School.
The two conferences will consist of six teams made up of six players (only four can play each round). The season has been reduced from eight rounds to six, meaning teams will play each other three times.
The top two from each conference qualify for the final in Auckland (14 August), with the winner earning a national title. Government travel and quarantine regulations mean no team will be invited to the world final in Japan.
The last change to this year’s competition is a changeover in the live streaming, with games being broadcast via YouTube.
