Auckland-North served as the sixth and final stop on the Youthtown 3×3 Quest Tour on Saturday, with Eventfinda Stadium playing host to some thrilling basketball across three categories.
The Open Men’s category was claimed by Buckys, who defeated CB3.1 10-9 in a tightly contested final. Both teams separated themselves from the pack with their dominant play throughout the day. It was CB3.1 that came into the final undefeated, but Buckys managed to knuckle down and get the job done, earning themselves a spot in the 3×3 Quest Tour Final.
HP NZ Select were too strong in the Open Women’s category. They topped HP Last Minute in the final by a score of 11-10, capping off an undefeated day in style.
In the U19 Female category, RIMS went 5-0 in their five games to stand victorious over the rest. The final, though, was another closely fought game with RIMS holding on for a 10-8 win.
